FlasSim Hierarchical State Machines in ActionScript (Macromedia Flash)
Interactive Simulation Newsletter Vol. 1, No. 6 (November, 2003) focuses on the Hierarchical State Machine port to ActionScript. Among others, you can learn how to create an interactive Digital Watch simulation based on a hierarchical state machine (go ahead, click the buttons of the watch to the right and observe the state transitions).

Another ActionScript example that started from Miro Samek's C/C++ Users Journal column on state machines (June 2003), in which he describes a traffic light accompanied by a pedestrian crossing mechanism. We implemented that statechart, and then went a little overboard (okay, a lot overboard) on the traffic...

LabHSM Hierarchical State Machines in LabVIEW™  LabHSM allows creating complex event-driven LabVIEW™ application as an easily maintainable collection of asynchronously communicating active objects based on a universal Hierarchical State Machine (HSM or statechart) template. The toolkit facilitates working on a higher level of abstraction and utilize agile software development methodologies combining design and coding in one highly flexible process.
