We've moved!

Chapel Hill

Quantum Leaps, LLC has moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina -- just minues to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and to the Research Triangle Park. Our new postal address is available through our contact page

This move has been carefully planned since early last year. It will allow us to expand and reduce the cost of doing business, which was getting out of hand in Silicon Valley.

Of course, the move has no impact on our online presence. We also keep the same toll-free phone number 1-866-450-LEAP.

Website improvements

QDK

We've recently reorganized our website to improve access to the growing number of QP Development Kits (QDKs). Now, each supported operating system/RTOS or CPU family has a separate subdirectory. For example, the QDKs for the ARM processors are all co-located in the subdirectory quantum-leaps.com/arm/, while all QDKs for Windows are co-located in the subdirectory quantum-leaps.com/win32/.

The summary page of all available QDKs is available from quantum-leaps.com/downloads/qdk.htm. You can conveniently navigate to this page using the Downloads->Development Kits menu.

Updated QKDs for ARM

ARM

All QDKs for ARM have been updated to use the latest IAR EWARM 4.41A. Other improvements include simplified startup code as well as improved exception and interrupt handling. Updated code and Programmer's Manuals for Atmel AT91EB40A, Atmel AT91SAM7S-EK, and NXP LPC213X are available for download.

New QDK-nano for ARM with the GNU toolset

CodeSourcery G++

The first QDK-nano for ARM (AT91SAM7) with the GNU toolset has been released. The code has been compiled with the CodeSourcery G++ for ARM Lite edition. The QDKs include complete startup from Flash, stack initialization, interrupt code, exception handlers, advanced linker scripts, and more. The extensive Programmer's Manual for the released QDK-nano is under development.

The first QDK-nano is just the beginning. We're planning to soon release QDKs for QP/C and QP/C++ with the GNU-ARM toolset. Stay tunded...
